I lost 3 pounds. I took a chance, weighed myself, and I lost 3 pounds! I don't care if it is water, fat or part of my liver I lost....woo-hoo!!!! I have incentive!!
As Tim tells us to do, you must eat within 30 minutes of waking. After I brushed my teeth, got dressed, awoke children, fed guinea pigs, watered the dog, let the dog out, let the dog back in, fed the dog, watered the guinea pigs and then gave the dog his greenie......I started on my breakfast. Did I mention I have a thyroid that doesn't want to work? That pill has to be taken a half hour before I eat...or something like that. (Yet another reason to lose weight...I might get to take a smaller dose of syntharoid).
So here's what I did for breakfast: remember the maca powder? I bought it last night thinking that I was buying just another alternative flour for my gluten free kid. When I got to the cash, the cashier whispered to me in hushed conspiratorial tones "Have you used this before? I bought some, but I am afraid to try it." Say what?! Apparently, it is a super root that gives energy and has tons of vitamins. She was worried she'd get jacked up. And I thought to myself; bring it on. Breakfast this morning was a tomato, 3 eggs mixed with half a can of PC salt free salmon and 2 tbs maca root powder followed by a chaser of unsalted PC pumpkin seeds. The egg mixture comes out like a pancake and tastes pretty sweet. Next time I am going to make smaller pancakes out of it instead of one big one, and add some sauteed onions on top. Yum.
