The food in my kitchen taunts me. My old friend, the banana, sits on my counter waiting to be munched. Tim says that we are to get rid of all our non diet food. Interesting idea, but there are 4 other people in this house who need to eat. That has been the hardest thing so far about this diet......being surrounded by all the quick foods I used to grab: toast, bananas, fruit bottomed yogurt. Maybe the solution is for me to move out....
I have walked two hours today and almost didn't make the last one. Fatigue hit me like a wall of rocks. My feet felt like they weighed a ton! After a breakfast of lentils, chicken and squash...I really thought I had enough energy. And then, bam. A lovely client of mine who was home, took pity on me and gave me some delicious carrot soup with very little contraband in it (sugar). It was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted!!! So, it inspired me to really start purchasing foods just for me and actually cooking tasty things, just for me. I haven't been doing that. I have been trying to incorporate other peoples meals into my diet. Time to take some time for me!! It is time to stand up for my rights as a dieter in this house!! I demand respect! I demand tasty food! I demand a cool sweet glass of pinot grigio served to me on a silver plate by one of the guys from Spartacus!!! I demand......okay, maybe I am getting a wee bit carried away. Off I go to the grocery store, after another hour of walking......and I am going to make some tasty 'me' food. (But if anyone knows one of those Spartacus guys, send him over).
