Welcome to Binge Day #2. Only here is the problem: the last two nights I have binged. And the reason arrived this morning. Period. Sooooo, what is a cramping, grumpy mess like me to do? Eat whatever, that's what. I am ready to put my legs up, eat some cereal, have some fruit and lounge. But I really wonder why this month's 'gift' is so severe. I have not had PMS in years, and my period usually arrives with little fanfare. I would first suspect the quality of the protein that I am eating.....but I have done my best to eat organic meat, or at least hormone free/antibiotic free. And my fish has been wild, not farmed. My second thought is to look at the lack of carbohydrates in this diet and wonder if they have an important role to play on serotonin levels. Let me eat a bag of chips and get back to you. Turns out, this Binge Day is for wimps.
